A training program on Waste Segregation, Recycling, and Upcycling was organized by Save a Life for the Foliage Club members – students of the Department of Sociology – on February 2, 2025, in Department 108 Lecture Hall. This event was part of the “Green Futures – A Path to Climate Resilience and Sustainability” project, funded by the U.S. Embassy. Prof. Kanapathy Gajapathy served as the facilitator for the session, which was attended by nearly 40 students.
The session provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills on waste segregation, recycling, and upcycling, covering topics such as an Introduction to Waste Segregation, Recycling and Upcycling Techniques, a Group Discussion on Implementing Sustainable Waste Practices in the University, and the development of a Waste Management Action Plan.
